My Story – Dr. Anshul Agrawal

Hello, I’m Dr. Anshul Agrawal, and I am honored to join the faculty at the Asian Pain Academy. My journey in medicine has been a dynamic exploration of what it means to alleviate pain and improve patients' quality of life, guiding me toward a specialized career in interventional pain management.

Originally trained in anesthesiology, I completed my DNB at Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre and, later, the Diploma in Anesthesia at Gandhi Medical College. But as I delved deeper into anesthesia and observed the profound impact of effective pain relief, I was drawn to specialize further in pain management. Over the years, I pursued fellowships across India, including certifications from Kolkata, the DPMC in Delhi under Dr. G.P. Dureja, and more recently, the Indian Academy of Pain Medicine.

I specialize in advanced interventional techniques, such as spine endoscopy, neuralgia treatments, and cancer pain management, focusing on minimally invasive methods to bring relief and restore functionality. My areas of expertise include procedures like transforaminal endoscopy, cervical and lumbar spine interventions, joint treatments, and radiofrequency applications for pain relief in neuralgia and other chronic conditions.

Throughout my career, I have remained committed to staying current in the field, participating in both national and international conferences and workshops, including hands-on cadaveric training and live demonstrations. I’ve had the privilege of sharing my insights as a faculty member at numerous events, discussing topics such as percutaneous treatments for trigeminal neuralgia and the latest advances in transforaminal endoscopic spine surgery.

Joining the Asian Pain Academy gives me a wonderful platform to share my experiences and contribute to the education of new pain specialists. I’m thrilled to be part of a community that is shaping the future of pain management, and I look forward to learning from my colleagues and our students as we work together to advance our field.
