I am currently the Director and Consultant at Rajarhat Pain Clinic in Kolkata, West Bengal, and a visiting consultant at B.R. Singh Hospital on Beleghata Road in Sealdah, Kolkata. After completing my MD, I pursued additional training with an online certificate course in rheumatology and an introductory ultrasound course from EULAR. I hold the FIPP certification from the World Institute of Pain. Currently, I serve on the Executive Committee of the Indian Society for the Study of Pain and as the Scientific Secretary for the International Society for Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Pain.

My work in pain medicine includes authoring MCQs in Pain Medicine (published by CBS) and co-editing How to Start and Run a Pain Clinic. I contributed to Chapter 9, "Evidence-Based Recommendations in Pain Management," in this book. I am also a co-editor of Clinical Methods in Pain Medicine, contributing to Chapter 7, "Evaluation of Back Pain." Additionally, I co-authored Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Pain Medicine (1st edition) and Basics of Pain Management (3rd edition). I was part of the team that developed PRP guidelines for osteoarthritis knee treatment for the Indian population.

As a reviewer, I have worked with journals like The Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine, Acta Radiologica, and Journal of Clinical Monitoring and Computing, and I previously served as Associate Executive Editor for The Indian Journal of Pain.

In education, I was formerly a teaching faculty member for the government-approved 1-year Fellowship in Pain Management at the ESI Institute of Pain Management, Sealdah ESI Hospital, Kolkata, and served as an OMSB (Oman Medical Specialty Board) trainer for anesthesia residents. I have taught extensively with Aesculap Academy’s Pain Medicine courses and recently chaired the Scientific Committee for the International Conference on Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Pain held in Bengaluru from March 31 to April 4, 2023.

With a strong portfolio of publications, I am an active speaker at national and international conferences. I also have extensive experience in teaching musculoskeletal ultrasound and pain medicine, which I offer through online courses, hands-on volunteer workshops, and cadaveric workshops.
